THE SOCIETY

TECLIS-ITCONCEPT is  located in the south east of France, near LYON. Its premises accomodate non only its facilities for the technical development and for the production of the instruments, but also a laboratory for implementing analytica services about the interfaces.

HISTORIC

The company has been founded in March 1991 in order to develop a set of new ways for the investigating the interfaces, using a set of different technologies developed in the world since the mid of the 80's.

Its first result has been the development of a set of automated drop tensiometers TRACKER type for the measurement of the rheological characteristics of the liquid/liquid and liquid/gas of the interfaces in very different experimental conditions (temperature, pressure). This development has been achieved with the scientific collaboration of european research institutes and private companies, as part of two european contracts (see here under: STRENGTHS). The first commercial unit has been installed in June 1993. Since this date, several tens of instruments have been installed in the world, in national  research institutes and private companies, for very different applications (food, petroleum, fine chemistry, cosmetics, pharmacy, teaching, etc.).

In 1998, TECLIS formerly IT CONCEPT started with INRA/Nantes the development of a set of instruments FOAMSCAN type for the measurement of the foaming power of liquids and the stability of foams (sparging process). The first commercial unit has been installed end of 1999. Since this date, several units have been installed in the world and a technical development programm is in progress for measuring the foaming power of liquids in very different experimental conditions: recirculation, stirring, at room or controlled temperature.

In 1999, TECLIS formerly IT CONCEPT started again the development of a set of instruments SOLIDSCAN type for the measurement of the characteristics of powders and of their wettability. The first commercial unit has been installed end of 1999. The technical feasibility has been demonstrated in 2000. The first commercial unit will be proposed in 2001.

STRENGTHS

  • Combination of several technologies in mechanics, electronics and data processings.

  • Application of mathematical theories to the metrology.

  • Creation of friendly softwares (image analysis, computation algorithmes, automation of instruments, etc).

  • Technical and cientific collaborations  both with national research institutes and private companies in order to get a good understanding of the scientific concerns and to define the performances of the instruments to be developped.

  • Design of standard or customized instruments.

SCIENTIFIFICS COLLABORATIONS

TECLIS-ITCONCEPT

a collaboré ou collabore toujours avec de grands centres de recherches industriels ou universitaires

CNRS MARSEILLE / France
Conseil National à la recherche Scientifiques

User of the TRACKER in its research programs on the lipase and phospholipase type enzymes at the oil/water interface (European contract VALUE)

http://lle-sg.cnrs-mrs.fr

The CNRS had demonstrated the technical feasibility of a drop tensiometer in the end of the 80's and the utilisation of a lab prototype for measuring the activity of the lipase and phospholipase type enzymes at the oil/water interface.

NOVO NORDISK / Denmark

CIVC-INRA / France
Comité Interprofessionnel des Vins de Champagne
Institut National de Recherche Agronomique / Reims research center

Users of the TRACKER since 1995 in its research programms on the behaviour of the foams in drinks (European contract IN10381).

INRA / France
Institut National de Recherche Agronomique / Nantes research center

The INRA had demonstrated in the beginning of the 90's the technical feasibility of an instrument based on an image analysis for measuring the foaming power of liquids and the stability of foams. It had issued several scientific publications reporting results got with its lab prototype.
